Omexom: EPC solutions for lots 3 and 26 auctioned by Energisa

Energisa, which is one of the foremost private groups in Brazil’s energy sector, won lots 3 and 26 of the transmission auction held by Aneel on April 24th.

Achievement of Omexom’s energy transmission promises to the energy production and supply actors.

Omexom is a VINCI Energies group company operating in the power sector, and it will be responsible for providing the EPC solutions for both lots, from generation to distribution. In turn, Energisa will be responsible for the environmental licensing needed for the implementation of the projects and the land management.

Lot 3 includes the supplies and the building works to be installed in the south of the state of Goiás that are needed for the operation of the 230 kV Rio Verde Norte – Jataí 2 x 136km double circuit Transmission Line and the 500/230 kV Rio Verde Norte Substation (new 230 kV courtyard) – (6+1 Res) x 224 MVA. The project will reinforce energy supply to the state of Mato Grosso do Sul while increasing the reliability of the system in the region.

Lot 26 will be installed in the south-east of the state of Pará for the implementation of the 230 kV Xinguara II – Santana do Araguaia 2 x 296 km double circuit Transmission Line and the 230/138 kV Santana do Araguaia Substation (new 230 kV courtyard) – 2×150 MVA. The project will provide Santana do Araguaia with a reinforcement to its energy supply, improving the quality of attendance for consumers in the north-eastern region of the state of Mato Grosso.

The solution developed by Omexom for Energisa included a study of the optimum route for the construction of the Transmission Line within a corridor established by ANEEL’s tender document, in addition to the solutions developed for systems and equipment.
